Commemorating John Calvin’s 500 anniversary.

I’m an independent artist, leaving and creating in Armenia for past 12 years mostly in a field or Christian art. 9 years ago I was granted a permission to operate a workshop for Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church . My works was recently selected to receive two awards (in 2004 and 2005) for the best religious craft at Yerevan Jewellery exhibitions.

The other field of my work is various type of 8 days swiss movement desk clocks.

Working closely with Switzerland I become interested in the country history and discovered for myself a John Calvin. Last year I decided to create something commemorating Quincentenary - the 500th anniversary of John Calvin’s birth.
John Calvin’s bust, bezel decorated with 56 amethyst stones, symbolizing the years of Calvin’s life, and stand corner legs made from sterling silver.

Mother of pearl dial of 60 mm ( 2,4 inch ) diameter, laser engraved and colored with natural sepia ink which is light resistance and will keep color for centuries.

The clock case made from obsidian stone (volcanic glass) black and brown in color.
8 days power reserve movement supplied by Pontifa, a reputable Swiss company.

3 years warranty on it’s precise work. Future service arrangements also guaranteed.
 
 
 
The dimensions of clock is: H -110 mm ( 4,3 inches ) W - 60mm ( 2,4 inches ) L -145 mm ( 5,7 inches )

Each clock will have individual number engraved on a back side of the stand.
